My Philosophy as a Learning Designer
Spending most of my adult life as both a learner and an educator, I have come to understand the value of a well designed course. I believe that engaging the learner is the first step to education and designing courses that do so are greatly important.
I am drawn to the field of Instructional Design because it allows me to utilize my creativity on a level that can not only impact others but also help them achieve their goals.
There are many different learning styles. In my work as a learning designer, I utilize data analysis techniques, incorporate a variety of technology and media, and apply the appropriate learning models to my modules based on the needs of my client and the potential learners.
I believe that a successful learning designer is one that puts the needs of the learner first and adapts to the ever changing world of educational technology.
